ملخص:Deep Citizenship complements and adds to current debates in environmental awareness, the breakdown in social welfare provision, the increasing disillusionment with formal politics and the idea of a stakeholding society. Deep Citizenship presents a case for radical democracy, and for the recovery of a model of political action for the new millennium. It builds on the conception of the citizen self, as a responsible, socially-embedded and politically sensitive individual: the deep citizen.ملخص:The deep citizen, guided by an ethic of care centred on a concern for self, others and world, embraces the political possibilities in society, and moves beyond formal state set boundaries to the wider spaces of the new polis of the third millennium.
