From 1950- , issued in two volumes: volume I contains summary records of the Commission's meetings, volume II reproduces documents of the Commission, including its sessional report to the General Assembly.

From 1976- , volume 2 issued as Part One and Part Two: Documents of the ... session (part 1); Report of the Commission to the General Assembly on the work of its ... session (part 2).

Prior to its publication in the Yearbook, the sessional report of the Commission is also issued as a supplement to the Official records of the General Assembly, titled: Report of the International Law Commission on the work of its ... session.

Several years prior to their reproduction in the Yearbook, documents of the Commission are issued as U.N. masthead documents symbolled A/CN.4/[sequential number], e.g. A/CN.4/499.

Recently issued sessional reports and documents of the Commission (eventually to be reproduced in volume 2, parts 1 and 2 of the Yearbook) are also available on the Internet via the United Nations Web site at the International Law Commission's Page.

Subtitle varies.

From 1950- , issues bear U.N. document series symbol A/CN.4/SER.A/-; e.g. volume 1 of the 1992 edition is symbolled A/CN.4/SER.A/1992; volume 2, part 1 is symbolled A/CN.4/SER.A/1992/Add.1(Part 1); volume 2, part 2 is symbolled A/CN.4/SER.A/1992/Add.1(Part 2).

From 1950- , volumes also carry U.N. sales numbers.
