This research investigated the impact of the Distance Learning Accreditation Standards adopted in 2005 by the UAE on the perceived quality of distance learning programs within the UAE's post-secondary education system. An exploratory, single site case study method was utilized, and data from multiple sources were collected using a mixed method approach. UAE Ministry officials were interviewed, related documents on standards and guidelines were reviewed, and participants at an institution with an accredited distance learning program were interviewed and surveyed.
