"Section I of the Yearbook (2011) includes the Center{u2019}s {u2018}Fields of Activity{u2019}, namely research and studies, training of researchers and community services. This Section also contains the details of ECSSR{u2019}s organizational structure. Section II entitled {u2018}Activities{u2019} highlights the events and activities that were organized by the Center including conferences, lectures, symposia and seminars. The Section is divided into two parts. The first presents in detail the activities and events that took place during the year 2011 while the second provides a record of the Center{u2019}s activities since its establishment in 1994. Section III deals with various ECSSR publications including books, special publication projects, occasional papers and lecture series (pertaining to Strategic Studies, International Studies and the Emirates Lectures) and Media Publications. It also covers details of the distribution services of ECSSR publications and gives details of exhibitions and book fairs in which the Center has been participating. Section IV is entitled {u2018}Awards{u2019} as it provides details of all the awards and honors conferred on the Center since its establishment. Section V entitled {u2018}Visits and Scientific Cooperation{u2019} gives details of some of the world{u2019}s most distinguished luminaries that have visited the Center from 1994 to 2010. It also records the various scientific cooperation agreements signed by the Center with research institutions around the world."
